“We are so grateful to our partners at the Brownsburg Health Care Center for their generous gift in support of our students,” said Dr. Lorenzo Esters, chancellor of Ivy Tech Indianapolis. “This gift is imperative to Ivy Tech’s mission to increase the number of students in the program to meet state demand.”

BHCC is a leading provider of quality rehabilitation, memory care and skilled nursing in Hendricks County. Its nurse practitioners, registered nurses and certified nursing assistants care for rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents around the clock, 365 days a year.

“Brownsburg Health Care Center’s team are so grateful to Ivy Tech and the future Nurses and CNAs that are working so hard to reach their goals,” said Emily Bushaber, Administrator in Training at BHCC. “We are proud to support people who have chosen to go into this field and hope to be able to continue to support them over the coming years!”

Ivy Tech is the state’s largest producer of nursing graduates, playing a crucial role for those pursuing a career in nursing. Partnerships with organizations like BHCC further advance the College’s mission to fill the state’s nursing workforce gaps.

Sarah Snowden, Director of Nursing with BHCC and Ivy Tech alumna, is incredibly proud to have witnessed this partnership come to fruition. She graduated from Ivy Tech’s Practical Nursing Program then returned to complete the LPN (Licensed Practical Nursing) to ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) Transitional Nursing Program.

“Ivy Tech’s impact on local communities is so impactful,” Snowden said. “I love this school, which is why I came back twice. Now, as a director of nursing, I love when Ivy Tech students come to work at BHCC and look forward to welcoming many more in thanks to this new partnership.”
